June 9, 2021

It is a beast of a pod, so break it down however you need to. Wasn't a ton we could justify putting on the cutting room floor, apart from a barking dog. On this episode, we cut into SO MUCH, Springboks, Eagles, retirement, oh my. We delve into the officiating we'll see on the Lions series and that DC #9 that is oh so classy. We also duck into a little bit of the player's reasons for protests. Oh, there was rugby too!? Oh bother..yeah we dive into all the action from both the Prem and the goings on in the Trans Tasman area as well. Yup, we do one final, big, Start or Sit this week as well. Crack a few with us, have a laugh and enjoy folks.

Don't forget, we are putting together a 2nd Tier of Champi-Yanks League! You've heard us babble about it and if it sounds like fun to you, please hit us up via email or twitter.

It's those lovable American rugby dopes talking about that leather oblong ball we adore. In this episode we talk about a couple of unfortunate retiring players due to injuries and the slight difference between the two situations. We of course dive into the action from down under including the not so funny business D-Mack was up to. We bring it north to discuss a couple refereeing styles that we saw this weekend and why neither is necessarily right, but one is more tolerable. Yes we dive into the Premier 15s Final between the Quins and Sarries, that Mum you never mess with and that interview we all were finding the tears about. All this, the whip around for all 3 leagues including MLR and more. Crack a couple frosty ones and tune in!

May 26, 2021

It is those American rugby dopes that like to talk about rugby and pretend rugby. On this episode, it's one that means a lot to us because it's the first USA Eagles squad that has been picked since the 2019 Rugby World Cup. We go over the names that we are excited about, maybe a bit of back story as to why we are excited about them and plus we pick the guy we think should get the arm band for this summer's tour. We also talk about a couple of matches that had no significance what soever at Twickenham. We wrap all the action from Super Rugby and do our usual Start or Sit thing. Kick back, have a laugh and enjoy!

Don't forget, we are putting together a 2nd Tier of Champi-Yanks League! You've heard us babble about it and if it sounds like fun to you, please hit us up via email or twitter.

We address the tip of a very nasty iceberg in terms of what USA Rugby can do to get itself going, and an AAU team is not the answer. We talk about the new 7's league popping up over on this part of the earth and what the different pros & cons to it are. Of course we wrap all the action including a very bad bad man playing for Bristol and the first weekend of Trans Tasman Super Rugby. A bit about some Champi-Yanks League and you've got everything you need. Kick back, grab a nice beverage and tune in!

It's those weird guys from North America that like to talk about rugby. This week's episode has plenty to banter about, you know there was this little team called The Lions picked, so that's something to chat about for a bit. Also, will Marcus Smith actually be picked this summer? One of us truly does not believe so. Of course, we can't miss the amazing performance put in by the one and only, James O'Connor. We wrap all the action from both hemispheres, player news, start or sit and much more. Crack a couple and join us for a laugh.

It's the American rugby dopes you all know and love coming at you. Not so much on pitch rugby to cover, but plenty to discuss in behind the scenes. Nothing really that big though, oops wait, Gat's might have something to say about that.

In this week's pod we cover lots of topics from the Eagles traveling over the pond to play a couple of big test matches, a few signings that are buzzing about and of course we cover the big matches from this past weekend in Europe, including the big upset on Sunday. We also cover the Free Jack's much more pleasant trip out west as Fife & Polland put on a show. Oh yeah, we did our usual Start or Sit business to. Crack a few open with us and enjoy!

April 28, 2021

It is those American rugby knuckleheads, here to give your ears a bit of a buzz. We got into some interesting stuff on this one including the social media boycott that much of the sports world is taking part in and the problems that many athletes deal with on these platforms that need to be stopped. We tuck into the player movement and the horrible injuries we saw to a few big names this past weekend. Dive a bit into refereeing and some sort of art that seems to be believed still exist out there. Of course we dive into 6 Nations and England's victory in the final. We get around for all the action, phrasing, in Aotearoa, Prem and MLR. Sprinkle a little Start or Sit and you have yourself a perfect TFRFY podcast. Throw those feet up and join us with a cold one!

April 21, 2021

It's those American rugby nerds, back for you to roll your eyes at and have laugh with. On this week's episode we dive into the seriousness of some non-rugby stuff happening here in the U.S. and a tale about one night in Watertown MA. We talk player movement and a particular one filling some big shoes at The Stoop. Also, the RFU made their decision, and it's not for us, we discuss. We of course, have a look back at this past weekend's action in the 6 Nations and also some players to keep in mind for the final weekend in your fantasy teams. We run through both surprising results in Aotearoa and yes, we wrap all the action from the Prem too. A little recap from Champi-Yanks League (2nd tier opening up next season) is also on the cards as well as that Start or Sit thing we do. Have a cold one, grab a comfy seat and enjoy!

Season 3- Episode 22- Everything Spins Backwards in the Southern Hemisphere (Champions Cup QF & Super Rugby Round 8)

April 14, 2021

It is those silly Americans that think they know a thing or two about rugby. On this episode we discuss a bit of player movement, including a particular Munsterman going home to reunite with his old club. We dive into a bit about what Jess Hayden wrote about with the Welsh Rugby Union not giving their Women's programs the proper attention they require if they are to be serious about being competitive and not give lip service (it's not just money either). We dive into the matches from the 6 Nations this past weekend and why you can never get away from Emily Scarratt as your captain. We give the wrap up of the matches both in Aotearoa and the Champions Cup, including the two, less than entertaining matches, we were forced to deal with on Sunday. We do a bit of Champi-Yanks League catch up, Start or Sit and lots more in between. Crack a cold one, kick the feet up and have a laugh with us.

Season 3- Episode 21- The Ride Has Come Home (Champions Cup Round of 16 & Super Rugby Round 7)

April 7, 2021

It is those American rugby knuckleheads that you sometimes hate, but secretly love. On this episode we dive into who in the world is going to take Sam Cane's 7 shirt now that he is likely done for the majority of the season, if not all of it. We take a dip into the 6 Nations this past weekend and how good the two big winners were on the weekend, plus the Cleals. We have a look at what the Highlanders did to put in their performance of the season thus far and how the Blues got back on track. Of course, we have a jaunt around Europe in the Champions Cup Round of 16 with all the action that came with that, there wasn't a lack of it, that's for sure. Plus, how viable is it really to stick with a Round of 16 going forward? All this, a Champi-Yanks League look in and yes, Start or Sit for both Super Rugby & Champions Cup this coming week.
